Parents bring their children for the act of entrusting them to the Virgin of Revelation.
The event is carried out in an extremely simple but meaningful way. The children, along with their parents, are taught the value of this gesture, which holds a deep meaning. The entrusting ceremony is carried out in the spirit of Baptism, in which the wealth of the Redemption and Grace has been deposited.
As a child entrusts itself to his mother, we entrust ourselves to the Virgin Mary to learn to cope with the events in our lives. We put our faith in her to be protected in moments of difficulty, to have good advice to make the right choices, to be nourished by the holy doctrine of the Church, to know what Jesus wants from us and to be accompanied to the Kingdom that awaits us at the end of this earthly pilgrimage.
We are aware that educating a child means bringing out what is already inside of him, like a seed: educating a child means guiding him to discover reality, illuminating his intelligence, helping his will so that one day he will be able to choose, not out of selfishness but out of love. Thus, accompanying him in the development of his first habits is fundamental and indispensable, offering him an example of an active Christian life.
The programme of Christian education is not to "convey the idea of God" but to help children establish a relationship with God, teaching them to talk to Him with simple expressions of daily life like "Thank you, Jesus. Thank you Little Madonna".
And slowly, progressively, they will learn that Jesus is not in competition with mankind but is our faithful friend, our travelling companion who helps us along our pilgrimage of the faith, with his presence and the presence of his mother, the Virgin Mary.
